God desires personal relationships!

Throughout my day I found God sending me this message. Whether it was a conversation with a friend, a radio broadcast, or even a daily verse, the theme really stuck. God isnt just standing by waiting for the simulation to get over!! He desires to have a real and intimate relationship with us!! I like to think of it like having the ultimate counselor or shrink that can only bring fruit to your life. Of course I have some material from one of my favorite sites that has a nice paragraph about this subject:

"Taking her by the hand he said to her, “Talitha cumi,” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.” And immediately the girl got up and began walking (for she was twelve years of age), and they were immediately overcome with amazement. And he strictly charged them that no one should know this, and told them to give her something to eat."
-Mark 5:41-43

"Several times we observe that Jesus commanded people who had witnessed miracles not share their experiences. I’ve always wondered why. Perhaps, being that God desires intimate relationship with us, might we consider that when He moves in our lives, He may want us to process and respond to what He does for us with Him, before we share it with others. As you see God move in your life today, respond to Him before telling someone else about it. Enjoy that sweet moment between just the two of you and allow that to nurture your relationship."

I need to work on my relationship with God. I say that much :/ ...
In part that is what this blog is about. It is me stepping up and saying to the world that I am a Christian, and I want to be genuine in what I say and do. I am very far from perfect, but I feel closer to God every day I read his word.

Songs like this one ignite fire in my chest and get me passionate about standing up for what it is I believe.

something to share...

"For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. Therefore do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord, nor of me his prisoner, but share in suffering for the gospel by the power of God…"
2 Timothy 1:6-8

"Consider what God has placed in you for the whole world to see and hear. Don’t fear living out whatever that is. Fan it into flame and abound in love and self-control as you operate in the gifts He’s placed in you. Be a vessel who displays for others His love for you and all the world."

I thought I would share some of the things I was reading up on today. It seems that fear has been a subject that I have had to become very familiar with the past few years of my life. Considering that I am a fearful, shy kid at heart, I can say that I know the benefits of surpassing the fear stage and feeling the wonders of gods true plan which lives outside of the realm in which fear sits.
Earlier today I was listening to a sermon on the radio and he said "fear is the quickest and easiest gateway to keep you from gods plan". This sentence really hit home for me. Granted within context he was talking about many different things, but the main point is simply that God has made us a promise to be there for us when we need him. We cannot expect to do things without his help and it is only when we are involved in a real living relationship with God can we truly be on cue with what his plan is for us. The nice thing to know is that he only ever has our best intentions at heart. That wonderful feeling called love is something that God shares with us and how great it is to know that our creator feels the love that we feel or rather, we feel the love that he feels** hehe
I do not want to disregard his plan by living in fear. So I think the theme for this year is "2012 the year of no fear!" woo woo. Of course we will want to continue the theme of no fear for the years following.. just seems like a good time to start the awareness))

"For the atheist whom says he doesn't believe..."
We are all believers, every single one of us. It is "what" we believe that may be different, but nevertheless, we are still both believers. Whats that you say? You believe in facts! Not my silly fiction? It is a matter of logic that the finite can neither prove nor disprove the infinite. Again I say we are both believers, you simply believe there is no God, while I simply believe that there is a God.
Faith is the moral response to the character of God. True science does not argue the existence of something that it can never prove. Rather a good scientist looks at the evidence and makes decisions based on proof rather than pure assumptions. Think about a large majority of anti-christian claims by "top-level scientists" what is actually scientific about these claims for a godless universe?? Is the better explanation that aliens seeded us on  this planet?? are you kidding? Where did those aliens come from?? Where did the energy that started the big bang come from?? It seems like my questions will never end when I leave God out of the picture..
I do not have enough faith to believe in a universe without God. There is simply too many things I would have to leave to chance in order for me to be here right now. Typing away on my laptop. Enjoying my blessings and leisurely lifestyle. No, I know God is real, It's too silly for me to think that I'm random, do not allow false teachers to lead you astray for Jesus is the shepard)

A good start)

Here is a popular youtube video that I believe is a good tool to convey a solid point. Simply that Jesus is what needs to be the focus and our relationship with him. Just acting like we are Christians by words alone does not make us some how better. We need to act like true Christians and preach our weaknesses at the same time we need to be helping our brothers and sisters when we see an opportunity.

Why I Hate Religion, But Love Jesus || Spoken Word

I noticed that there was a lot of video responses that were somewhat trolling this video. It seems like there are a lot of religious people and or Christians that seemed to think it is smart to tell him that he is wrong in some of his rhetoric. Personally, I think it is silly to judge this video as bashing the church in any way. It is very easily understood that he thinks that we should be following Jesus' model, not that model of the religious leaders at the time that were trying to kill him. When you see Cardinals, Archbishops, and Priests wearing golden robes, sitting in a lavish environment with a scepter in hand. You begin to wonder why the church isn't using more of it's offerings to feed the hungry and heal the sick. Surely the orphans do not see the power of God through the mighty clothing and vast stage that much of the church has created as it's setting. They would much prefer some bread and clean water. I do believe that God deserves glory and yes he has much and should be mighty. But at what cost are we allowing the face of our faith to be shaped by that of a minority that does not represent the common Christians values. What is the #1 Golden Rule?? In Matthew chapter 7 it says "Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you." I believe this is the core of our faith. I also believe that inherently we all want to be treated equally, while at the same time we want to love and develop relationships. We are social beings, and everyone has a great potential within them, as any one who has not given up in life will tell you. Anyways about time to start getting these vlogs started :p

He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
Isaiah 40:29-31
